The podcast where we watch every Academy Award Best Picture winner in no particular order

Best Pick Live Stream

We’re thrilled to announce a special one-off live stream show in which you will be able to see our faces as well as hear our voices.

Thanks to our lovely friends at House Seats Live, we’re going to be joined by special guests Rachel Bloom (Crazy Ex-Girlfriend), Melissa Fumero (Brooklyn 99), Michaela Watkins (The Unicorn), John Ross Bowie (Big Bang Theory), and more to look back at 93 years of Academy Award winning films to pick out the very best of the best in different categories. It’s the first annual “Super Oscars.”

The show will be on Saturday 1 May at 5pm PT / 8pm ET / Sunday 2 May 1am UK time – but if those times aren’t convenient, don’t worry you can access the stream for a whole week. To get your tickets and join in the fun, click here.

John Dorney, Jessica Regan and Tom Salinsky are film fans and Oscar fans. At the beginning of 2018, they set themselves a task. Put the names of all the Academy Award Best Picture winners in a hat. Draw them out in a random order. Research, watch and then discuss each one in turn. And because it was 2018, it had to be a podcast.

On these pages you can find out more about us, listen to all our past episodes and we’ll also announce any news we might have, like one of our occasional live shows, let you know what movie we might be watching next, and keep you up to date with our progress towards our goal.

To subscribe to the podcast, use any of the links at the top, or just search for “Best Pick Movie Podcast” in your app or directory of choice.

NEW LISTENERS may prefer to use this feed which arranges the episodes from earliest film (Wings from 1928) to most recent (Green Book at the time of writing) instead of the random order in which we released the episodes.

You can also sign up to our mailing list to get notified as soon as a new episode is released.
